Sente Backs Pension Reform for Elected Officials
SPRINGFIELD, IL – State Rep. Carol Sente (D-Vernon Hills) voted Friday to reform the General Assembly Pension System.
“The General Assembly has to lead by example and cut our own pensions,” Sente says. “This should have been the starting point as we continue to negotiate reforms to cut pensions and create a sustainable system that is fair to public employees and taxpayers. Unfortunately, politics got in the way of good policy.
Sente Rejects Compensation for Special Session
